The City of Butler is diligently working to help those that have been affected by the flooding that occurred July 5 into the early morning.

City residents impacted by the flooding are encouraged to call 2-1-1 for assistance.  You may also text 2-1-1 by texting your zip code and need to 898211 (regular texting rates may apply).  2-1-1 is a central resource that has the related contacts to be able to assist flood victims.  They also have resource contacts in regards to making donations.

If you are “out of town” checking on your property or need your basement pumped from water, please contact Butler City Bureau of Fire at 724-283-3100.

There are Dumpsters at the following locations:

• West Diamond Street by the swinging bridge
• Hayes Avenue by Shiloh Baptist Church
• Battery Warehouse parking lot
• Miller Avenue by entrance to Memorial Park
• Broad Street Elementary School main entrance
