The City’s Streets Department is responsible for the maintenance of 53 miles of city streets, 30 miles of secondary streets, winter maintenance including plowing and salting, street sign maintenance, street sweeping, storm sewer maintenance, and they have a leaf vac program. The Department’s goal is to “Safely maintain city streets with limited manpower within the Department.” They currently employ 5 full time employees.
